This year, Sports Day will be taking place on Friday, May 29th. We are planning to combine students from Kindergarten to Grade 7 in teams. Grade 8 students will help lead stations but we also need parent volunteers to help out in many different ways.
If you are able to help on this day, please take a moment to sign up HERE. Thank you!
Wizard of Oz
Wizard of Oz Make-up request
Actors in the play should come to the performance with base foundation already on their face. Then the make up team can apply any specialized makeup or reinforce the base layer over the foundation already applied. Also, if there are any parents who would like to help out with makeup, please message Ms. Allen () or Mr. Yee () or the make up committee (, kchoudhary@hopelcs.ca). Thank you so much!
Wizard of Oz Prop & Costume Request
Our students are working hard to prepare for this year’s school production, and our stage crew is on the hunt for a few specific props to round out the set.

- A large tub of Parkay (Empty and cleaned, please!)
- A traditional straw broom
- A plastic toy axe (The foam or hollow plastic kind)
- A 10L (small) gas jerry can (Must be empty and thoroughly rinsed/vented for safety)
If you do have any of the items, please let Miss Curry () or Mrs Abando () know to arrange drop off. Please let us know by Tuesday, May 5 at the latest.
Additionally, the costume department is looking to borrow:
- An adult-size M-L lion and dog costume for the upcoming musical. If you have a onesie or other suitable lion or dog costume that could be borrowed, please email Mrs. Le Ross or Mrs. Ashley .
