Volunteer Opportunities – 2023/2024 School Year
Please click link to see detailed options for Opportunities:
- 2022-23 Participation Opportunities
- KM Club is looking for one volunteer: We are looking for one detail-oriented parent to help us with data entry. The volunteer would need to be present at each last run of the week (typically Friday, but it might be Wednesday in case of pro-d days), wait til the end of the counting to take home the folders, transfer the week’s runs to a spreadsheet and return the folders on Monday. This usually takes no more than 1h of time but is a perfect combination with counting at the end of Friday’s run (another volunteer opportunity). Interested volunteers can reach out to Maik at 604-315-8446 or
REAL DAY – September 26
Students will be taking part in REAL Day activities all day on Tuesday, September 26, as the staff take students to different stations throughout the school. REAL is our school-wide positive behaviour support plan which teaches kids to show Respect, Encouragement, Adoration for the Lord and Love in our community. The children will learn how to be REAL in a variety of places like: chapel, library, bathrooms, hallways, playground, etc.
If you have volunteered for the event, please meet Mrs. Berg in the chapel at 8:40 am.
If any children have “under the sea” stuffies that they can lend to the school, please send them in tomorrow morning. They will be able to pick them up and take them home at the end of the day.
Orange Shirt Day and National Day of Truth and Reconciliation
This week our teachers will be spending some time educating our students in regards to what Orange Shirt Day is, and the purpose of the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation (September 30). As this day falls on a Saturday we will be remembering it in two ways. This Friday, students can dress down in an orange shirt to recognize the experience of those who went to Indian residential schools, to honour them, and show a collective commitment to ensure that Every Child Matters. On Monday, there is no school in lieu of the statutory day falling on a Saturday.
Yearbook 2022/23
We have a number of year books from last year at the elementary school and that are available on a first come first serve basis for $25.
BC Lions Hope Community Event
Hi Hope Families,
Come on out for a night of football, faith, and community building! We have secured a special group rate for the BC Lions’ game against the Calgary Stampeders on October 20th (7:00pm). We chose this night because it is the BC Lions’ Faith and Family Night event.
The special event will include meeting a few players and the team’s chaplain after the football game. Please see this Information Document to assist with how to purchase tickets and THIS LINK to purchase the tickets.
This is a great opportunity for our school members and church members to meet and strengthen our Hope community. Feel free to invite your friends and family to join us.
For planning purposes please purchase tickets by Friday, October 6.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Chris Anderson at
Look forward to seeing everyone there!
