KM Club is Back
This spring we are again conducting a 6-week run/walk around McLean Park on Monday’s, Weds & Fridays after school, starting Monday, April. 8 until Friday, May 17. The events will take place immediately after school, with warm up starting at 3:10 pm and runs starting at 3:20 pm sharp at McLean Park. Participants must register using this online registration form by Wednesday, April 3. At the end of the term, runners will receive medals and trophies based on the total amount of KM run.
Km Club is open to all students, staff, parents, caretakers, and daycare children. Parents or caretakers must be at McLean Park to supervise their child/children during Km Club. However, while supervising your child you may want to run or walk yourself, or you can volunteer.
Volunteering for KM Club counts towards volunteer hours and there are volunteer opportunities before, during, and after KM Club. Please see the volunteer descriptions and register to volunteer using the sign-up link.
Please contact Maik Hassel at 604.315.8446 or with any questions.

International Potluck Dinner and Literary Event, April 12th
YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS EVENT: International Potluck Dinner and Literary Event, April 12th. All attending families are requested to bring a savory or sweet dish representative of their heritage. Also, if you have any special clothing that represents your family heritage, please feel free to wear it. While we are diverse in our ethnicities, we are all made in the image of God and we want to celebrate the unity in that!
We’ll have food, fun, games, and it will be a kick-off to our Scholastic Book Fair which will start that Friday and run through to the following week.
Please signup so we can set a place for you. There are a few volunteer opportunities necessary to help coordinate the evening – if you can help, that would be appreciated.
As a precursor to this event, all students were encouraged to participate in the Spring Break Reading Challenge. Completed record sheets are due back to the classroom teacher by Friday, April 5th. The top readers in each class will win a Golden Ticket, redeemable at the Book Fair
