Student-Led Conferences: Thursday, February 26th
This Thursday, February 26th, our students will be sharing their learning progress during our Student-Led Conferences. These conferences are a formal connection point in our school year, allowing students to take the lead in sharing their learning journey and academic progress with you. No appointment is necessary as you are invited to drop in to the classrooms between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm, and 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
Pink Shirt Day – February 25th
Wednesday, February 25, students and staff are invited to wear pink instead of their uniform. There is no charge for this dress down day. This is an annual event against bullying, held in Canada and New Zealand. Students will have opportunities to learn more about ways we can be kind, respectful, and encouraging to all the people we come in contact with.
Extreme Weather Closures:
As we head into the winter weather season, please note the following important information regarding Hope Lutheran Christian School closures due to extreme/inclement weather:
- The decision to close (full day or partial day/late start) the School due to extreme weather will be made by 7:00 AM, on the day of the closure, so families can make alternate arrangements.
- The announcement will be posted as quickly as possible on our Facebook page and our school website. Do not phone the school, as staff will not be available.
- The decision will be made taking into consideration the safety of our families and staff, and the School’s ability to operate normally, and will be based on the best information available at the time.
- Any extreme weather closures will automatically apply to both campuses, and Schola Bohemia – Before and After School Care.
- Hope Lutheran’s extreme weather closures may not be the same as the local School Districts’ closures.
- Winter weather can change quickly, therefore, when the School remains open, all decisions regarding travel to and from the School are the responsibility of each family.

Fraser Health Vaccination Information
On Monday, May 4, our Grade 6 students will receive their routine vaccination.
Parents of Grade 6, 7, and 8 students can go to this website immunizationconsent.gov.bc.ca to complete the online permission forms. If your child in Grade 7 or 8 is missing any vaccines, Fraser Health can provide catch-up doses on this day if you wish.
A Fraser Health representative will be at the school on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 2:30 to 3:30 pm to answer vaccine-related questions on a drop-in basis in Mr. Shutsa’s office.
An information sheet with the QR code for permission has been sent home with your child.
