Parent Dessert Evening
As Hope’s Community Relations Officer (Lisa Klym) and Development Director (John Lok), we often wish for opportunities to really connect and have deeper conversations with those in our school community. After a successful trial last year, we are going to continue to engage our parent stakeholders to really connect, listen, and share information through our regular casual Parent Dessert Evenings. Hosted by Lisa Klym and John Lok with a small group, this is an informal evening to unwind, meet other parents, give feedback about school, learn more about Hope, and enjoy dessert with good company. The upcoming date is listed in THIS SIGN UP with limited sign up spots. The meetings usually start at 7:00 pm and finish no later than 8:30 pm. Location will be emailed out to attendees. We look forward to seeing you.
Dough Raiser fundraiser with Cobs Bread
Are you looking to purchase bread or treats from the Oxford location of Cobs Bread? Anyone who buys something at the Oxford Cobs Bread location just has to say they are a part of Hope Lutheran Christian School and 5% of their total transaction gets put aside for our school. This is an ongoing fundraiser.
Hope Lutheran Church Happenings
Hope Lutheran Church (HLC) Welcomes You
For those considering finding a home church for you and your family, Hope Lutheran Church gathers every Sunday, 10:00 am and has many other activities happening through the week, including Youth and Young adults groups. Adding to that, Pastor Lucas is in the office and around the school every week, as his kids also attend Hope Lutheran Christian School. You are free to talk with him at any time, he will be happy to share more about the teaching and the life of the Church. If you’re looking for a church home, give Hope a try! We look forward to welcoming you and your family into the HLC community.
Service of Lament, Prayer and Praise
Observing the Loss of Children through Miscarriage and Stillbirth
Wednesday, December 4th, 7:00 pm
Life brings losses, but sometimes we don’t find spaces where we can name and grieve them and seek comfort in the midst of our community of faith. At Hope we wish to provide this space where we can come together to name our grief and pain, to bring before the Lord, to praise His name and receive Comfort, Hope and Peace from His Word.
Our First Service of Lament, Prayer and Praise will focus on those who are going or have been through the loss of children through miscarriage and stillbirth, as well as all who desire to show support to grieving families. If you feel comfortable to do so, you can send Pastor Lucas the name (of the baby or of the family) you’d like to be mentioned during the Service (even if you choose not to attend the Service).
The Special Service will happen Wednesday, December 4th at 7:00 pm at the Church. If you or someone you know has experienced the loss of a child, feel free to invite them to this unique service dealing with real grief and God’s real comfort in Christ. All are welcome to join us in support of those who deal with difficult moments in their lives.

Christmas Food Hamper Collection Drive
The Christmas season is a time that emphasizes joy and celebration for most but, for those struggling, their need is felt more profoundly. We take this opportunity as a school to rally around these families and contribute to hampers to help make Christmas a joyful time for all.
In the spirit of giving, each year some families who could use some support over the holidays are identified and you have the opportunity to help them.
Our annual food drive starts on Monday, November 25th and runs until Wednesday, December 11th. Christmas wrapped boxes will be placed at both campus offices for your unopened food items (ensure not past best before date)
