Hot Lunch
Music Concert
As noted in the table above students will be attending one evening this week to share their musical learning over the course of the school year. The school building will be unlocked at 6:00 pm for students to arrive and head to their classrooms. Students will need to be in their formal uniform and have their music and instrument with them. Parents will need to bring students to the classroom to check in, as well, parents will need to sign students out from their classrooms at the end of the evening performance (approx. 8:00 pm). No tickets are required to attend this event. We look forward to this event and seeing you there.
Jump Rope for Heart
Our school is participating in Jump Rope for Heart this year. Students will be participating in this event during the week of May 29th – June 1st during their PE classes. This event is intended to be fun, encourage fitness and raise awareness for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Hope Lutheran Church – Vacation Bible Camp
Registration is now open for Hope Lutheran Church’s Vacation Bible Camp. Spots are limited for the free morning Vacation Bible Camp as well as the afternoon optional camps which are available to Vacation Bible Camp attendees for a fee.

Library End-of-Year Dates
The due dates for the school library have been moved up.
May 29th – Overdue books must be resolved
June 5th – All non-AR books are due back
June 12th – All books are due back
Notice from the School Accounting Office
A reminder for school families that chose the selection of the full payment option for tuition payment during February’s re-enrolment time, cheques will be processed this week, June 1, 2023.
Please ensure appropriate funds are available.
Schola Bohemia – 2 Day Workshop – June 2023
The Before & After School Care program, Schola Bohemia, has a few spaces left for students to attend their “2-Day Workshop” taking place on June 22-23; 8:00 am – 5:30 pm. The cost is $100 for students to attend the two 2 days. Registration can be made by emailing Rita Langrova.
Parent Prayer
You are invited and welcome to join other parents and our school administration to pray (even if you’ve never prayed before!). Please consider setting aside 30 minutes of your time at the beginning of each week to join us for Parent Prayer as we pray for our school, families, and community.
We meet outside at the Elementary Campus by the main entrance.
Every Monday from 8:45 – 9:15 am (except for holidays).

The PTL Bylaws have been brought up to date. Parents are asked to review the draft bylaws in preparation for voting to adopt the updated bylaws at our June 8th meeting.

Participation Opportunities
Social Event
Our MS Mixer event is happening June 9th and we are reaching out to our parent community for food donations and assistance at the evening event. Please review the MS Mixer Parent Assistance signup link and assist where you can. All provisions of food have been assigned hours.
Library
There are a couple of needs within our library that our Librarian would appreciate receiving some help with before the end of school.
Year-end BBQ
A few more parents are needed to help set up and cook for our year-end BBQ lunch. Please contact Lisa at if you are able to assist from 9am onwards on Weds., June 21.
Summer Opportunity
Parents, if you are interested in assisting with representing our school at the Dumpling Festival at Town Centre Park from 11am-8pm on Sat., August 12th, please contact John Lok at . Various shift times will be available.

REMINDER to all parents – please ensure all your participation hours are recorded to the class sheet for your youngest child. The cutoff date for entering your time is June 15th. After this date, the sheets will be locked and reimbursements calculated.
