3. PARENT TEACHER Conference Dinner Provisions – help support our hard working teachers with a hot dinner on October 26th, 2023. We are looking for food contributions that will equal Volunteer Hours (PPH). All details for Middle School and Elementary School Provisions found in the sign up link. We are also looking for support to help prep the dinner provisions that have been donated. PLEASE READ the description in full detail as well as the details found on the sign up. 5. KM CLUB:
Our Fall Km Club started on Monday, September 18th and will take place Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 3:20 – 3:50 pm at McLean Park for 17 running days until Friday, November 3. Parent volunteers are needed in various capacities. Please sign up for the time slots that work for you.
Volunteer descriptions and registration can be found in the sign-up link.
If your child is participating, it is strongly encouraged that caregivers volunteer a minimum of three times throughout the duration of the Club.

Parent Teacher Conferences – October 26
Parent-teacher conferences will be taking place on Thursday, October 26 during the following times
- 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
- 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
- 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
A conference is required with each student’s homeroom teacher in the family. Appointment times will be booked through the School’s easy-to-use online appointment booking system and telephone bookings will not be taken. An email was sent to school families on October 17 with detailed information and the link to the online booking system. The booking system is currently open and will close at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, October 25th. We look forward to connecting with our HLCS families and appreciate the attention you will give to the priority of these conferences.
Support for Hazel Trembath Elementary School
The City of Port Coquitlam has launched an initiative to help support the staff, students, and teachers of Hazel Trembath Elementary School, which experienced a devastating fire Saturday, October 14. Residents can place supplies in bins located at Port Coquitlam Community Center, Hyde Creek, and Port Coquitlam City Hall.
Please bring school supplies only such as:
- Staplers
- Clipboards
- Dry erase markers
- Poster board
- Sticky Post-It Notes
- Writing Instruments
- Art Supplies
- Games
- Notebooks
- Calculators
- Lined Paper
- Book Donations – suitable for primary aged pupils (K-Grade 5).
Food or canned goods, gift cards, monetary donations, or clothing will not be accepted.

Fall Lice Check
We are asking all our elementary families to please conduct a lice check at home with their child(ren) and return a signed copy of the form provided indicating you have completed this. Students are to return the form to their teacher by Monday, October 30.

Triple Ball Team
Our Grade 6/7 Girls Triple Ball team and Boys Triple Ball team are looking for a few more members! Triple Ball is very similar to volleyball. We are permitted to have Grade 4s and 5s on the team as well if space permits.
