Volunteer Opportunities – 2025/2026 School Year
KM Club Needs Your Help
We are looking for two volunteers who are willing to spend 2 hours after drop off to help us assemble the reward tokens for the fall KM Club run.
We will be meeting on Wednesday, the 26th, at 8:45 AM (right after drop off), in the school library.
Interested? Please contact Maik Hassel at 604-315-8446 (Text or WhatsApp preferred) or
Library Volunteers
Volunteer opportunities are available at the elementary school library for anyone who is comfortable using computers. Please contact Ms. Francescini, or drop by the library so she can explain the jobs.
Fruit Program
Thanks to a Feeding Futures grant from the BC government, we are able to offer a daily selection of Fruits and Vegetables for Grab and Go at each of the campus offices. If your child feels they could use an extra snack during the day, encourage them to walk by and see what we’re offering!
We could use some adult volunteers to help manage this program. Duties would involve washing and portioning fruit for service, approximately 15min at the beginning of each day. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Emily Reilly, at . Many hands will make light work!
Cone Set Up Needed at Elementary Campus
We are looking for an individual or a few to help with setting up cones in the morning before 8:30 am. This typically takes 15 minutes and would be ideal for those parents who need volunteer hours and need to drop off at before school care. Any parent(s) are welcome to help with this task and it would be greatly appreciated. There will be a training set up to know where to place cones and signs. Please contact Jennifer Watson if you are interested.
Hot Lunch Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer opportunities are available for the upcoming Hot Lunch dates. On Hot Lunch dates, volunteers are needed to assist our Hot Lunch provider, Fuel Catering, and distribute lunches to the classes.

Update on Mrs. Frank
We are happy to share that Mrs. Frank will be temporarily returning from her medical leave, starting Wednesday, November 19th.
During this time, she will be supporting our school community in a variety of ways rather than resuming her classroom position. This brief return is scheduled to conclude in early December, when she will begin a second, planned medical leave.
For Grade 4B families, please be assured that Mrs. Edema will remain the full-time teacher, ensuring consistent learning and support for our students.
When you see Mrs. Frank on either campus, please join us in offering her a warm welcome and your encouragement.

Christmas Hamper Drive
It’s almost time to start up Hope Lutheran’s annual Christmas Hamper drive!
The Christmas season is a time that emphasizes joy and celebration for most but, for those struggling, the need is felt more profoundly. We take this opportunity as a school to rally around these families and contribute to hampers to help make Christmas a joyful time for all.
In the spirit of giving, each year some families who could use some support over the holidays are identified within our own Hope community.
- Parents will receive an email from their class liaison in the next week, with a link to a Google spreadsheet listing the items to be fulfilled. Please put your name beside the items that you are providing.
- Donations of cash & gift cards can be taken to the school office for safekeeping.
- Contributions are voluntary; volunteer hours are not given for these donations.
- For health and safety reasons please ensure all donated items are new and unwrapped. (If food item, please ensure it is not past expiry date).
- Starting on Monday November 24, Christmas wrapped collection boxes will be placedat each campus reception area.
- Donations will be collected for 2 weeks – Monday, November 24 until Monday, December 8, 2025.
Thank you for your help & support. If you have any questions, please contact the PTL at
