Introducing Language Theater’s Mandarin Program
Welcome, Hope parents! With the collaboration of HLCS, we are pleased to announce the Language Theatre Program at Hope!
Give your child the gift of language and creativity! Our Mandarin Theatre Program is designed to inspire a love for Mandarin through the magic of theatre and play. Perfect for elementary students, this dynamic program combines interactive scenario-based skits with practical vocabulary to make language learning both fun and effective.
We will offer 2 levels of learning this year. The Beginner class is suitable for students who have little to no exposure to the Mandarin language. Intermediate classes will be suited for those who have regular exposure to Mandarin among friends and family.
Registration begins now and classes will start in January. Please email us if you have any questions.
Payment can be made via E-transfer (preferred) or cash in person (please give to your child’s teacher)
We certainly did not forget those who supported us and participated in our Survey last year, as well as our pilot program last summer! An email will be sent to notify you of your discounted fee. Please check your junk mail next week or simply email us to inquire.

Parent Prayer
You are invited and welcome to join other parents and our school administration to pray (even if you’ve never prayed before!). Please consider setting aside 30 minutes of your time at the beginning of each week to join us for Parent Prayer as we pray for our school, families, and community.
We meet at the Elementary Campus every Monday from 8:45 – 9:15 am (except for holidays).
Equipping Parents Seminar
Do you wish you knew of some practical strategies for helping your kids overcome feelings of anxiety, fear and stress? How do we be our children’s source of contact, security and warmth when they are looking to their peers for direction, values and identity?
Join us on Monday, January 20th at 7pm for an important seminar discussing why parents need to matter more than peers and offering practical solutions for retaining or regaining the parent/child attachment.
For our 3rd seminar in our Equipping Parents series, Taura Berg and Courtney Phillips from Hope’s own Student Services Resource team, will inform you of ways parents can “reattach” to sons and daughters, establish the proper hierarchy in the home, make kids feel safe and understood, and earn back your children’s loyalty and love.
Whether you’re attending in person or via livestream, this seminar will empower you to be for your children what God intended: a true source of contact, security, and warmth.
We look forward to seeing you there! Please note, we need a minimum of 10 people to join us in-person.
When: Monday, January 20th
Time: 7:00 – 8:30 pm
Where: ES Chapel
Who: Any parent or caregiver of a child

Hope Lutheran Church (HLC) Welcomes You
As you start a new school year at Hope Lutheran Christian School, you might be considering finding a home church for you and your family. Hope Lutheran Church gathers every Sunday, 10:00 am and many other activities happen through the week, including Youth and Young adults groups. Adding to that, Pastor Lucas is in the office and around the school every week, as his kids also attend Hope Lutheran Christian School. You are free to talk with him at any time, he will be happy to share more about the teaching and the life of the Church. If you’re looking for a church home, give Hope a try! We look forward to welcoming you and your family into the HLC community.
