Volunteer Opportunities – 2023/2024 School Year
1. Middle School Mixer – Friday, June 7, 2024 4:00 to 6:00pm
Please make sure you drop off all food donations by 3:00 pm at the elementary school kitchen.

2. PTL Year-end BBQ lunch on June 19 – PTL hosts a BBQ lunch on the last day of school at the elementary school campus. To help the committee better plan the event, please fill in the pre-order form with your choice of food, then make the Payment to the school office by Friday, June 16. Volunteers signup form will be posted on facebook and emailed out for this event. Please stay tuned on!

K-5 End of Year Field Trip
Thank you to those who completed the permission form that was sent out Friday, May 31st. If you have not yet done so, please look for the email and submit the form so we can plan for our end-of-year field trip to Sun Valley Park in Port Coquitlam. This field trip is planned to take place on Monday, June 17th. Form submissions are due by June 11th at 3:00 p.m.
Notice From School Accounting Office
This is a reminder for school families that selected Option B: Full Payment option by cheque post-dated no later than June 3, 2024 for tuition payment during February’s re-enrolment time.
Full payment tuition cheques submitted in February 2024 post-dated to receive the 1% early payment discount will be processed this week.
Please ensure appropriate funds are available.
If your family did not choose Option B: Full Payment with the 1% early payment discount, no action is required.
Hope Lutheran Church 2024 Post Secondary Bursary Application
Hope Lutheran Church wishes to support Christian post-secondary education by offering a bursary of up to $1000 to young adults who have had a connection to Hope Lutheran Church or School and are accepted to a post secondary Christian institution such as Trinity Western University in Langley, BC; Canadian Lutheran Bible Institute in Camrose, AB or other institutions offering Christian Studies.
Applicants may re-apply in subsequent years.

Jump Rope for Heart
Our school is excited to participate in Jump Rope for Heart this year during the week of June 10th-14th! Students will discover fun ways to get active, practice healthy habits and learn about helping others while raising money to beat heart disease and stroke!

Dough Raiser fundraiser with Cobs Bread
Are you looking to purchase bread or treats from Cobs Bread (the Oxford location)? Anyone who buys something at the Oxford Cobs Bread location just has to say they are a part of Hope Lutheran Christian School and 5% of their total transaction gets put aside for our school. This is an ongoing fundraiser until the end of the school year
Hope Lutheran Church Sponsored – Bible Information Meetings for Adults
Bible Information Classes are up and running. They are open to everyone, and they are designed for those who wish to learn more about the teachings and practices of the Christian Faith and the Lutheran Church. At the end of the program, those who aren’t members and would like to join us at Hope Lutheran Church can be received as new members of the Congregation. Junior Youth is a ministry of Hope Lutheran Church for students in Grades 5 – 8, connecting students with Jesus and one another.

Parent Prayer
You are welcome to join other parents and our school administration to pray (even if you’ve never prayed before!). Please consider setting aside 30 minutes of your time at the beginning of each week to join us for Parent Prayer as we pray for our school, families, and community.
We meet in the chapel at the Elementary Campus.
Every Monday from 8:45 – 9:15 am (except for holidays).

Term 1 Parent Participation Hours
Term 1 Refund Cheques now available for pick up with Mrs. Klassen at the elementary school campus. If you partially completed your Term 1 hours and expecting a refund that’s you! Please pick up immediately!
Used Uniform Sale – Monday, June 17
A used uniform sale will be held on Monday, June 17th at 8:30 am and 2:30 pm at the Elementary Campus. Parents are encouraged to sort through their uniform pieces now and determine what they will and will not need for next school year. All sellers are responsible for their own items.
This is a date change from June 14th to not conflict with the MS Talent Show happening on the 14th.
